LimoGrid AI: run your limo company from ChatGPT, Claude or Grok

Still on dispatch software you don't have time to learn? LimoGrid AI connects ChatGPT, Claude or Grok to your company. Ask in plain English, and confirm before anything changes.

Still on dispatch software that doesn't fit, because you don't have time to learn something new? We get it. Switching means training, new menus, and time away from running your business.

So we turned it around. Today we are launching LimoGrid AI. You connect the assistant you already use, ChatGPT, Claude or Grok, to your LimoGrid company, and run the office by asking: which trips tomorrow have no driver, where the car is, who still owes you, raise a rate, post a job to the Grid. Every change shows a preview first and waits for your explicit yes.

It is scoped to one company. The AI can only do what the employee using it can do in the Backoffice. Every call is audited.

LimoGrid AI in under a minute.

Under the hood, LimoGrid AI is an MCP server. This post explains what that means in plain English, what you can ask, and how we built it so an AI assistant can help run a limo company without being handed the keys.

What is an MCP server, in plain English?

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It is an open standard that lets an AI assistant like ChatGPT or Claude use outside software through a defined set of tools.

Without MCP, an AI chat knows a lot about the world and nothing about your company. You can ask it to write an email, but not which trips are unassigned tomorrow, because it cannot see your dispatch board.

An MCP server is the connector. LimoGrid publishes a list of tools (find reservations, change a rate, message a driver) and the rules for using them. ChatGPT, Claude and Grok are MCP clients: once you connect one to LimoGrid, it can call those tools on your behalf, inside the limits you set.

You keep using the chat app you already know. LimoGrid supplies the data and enforces the rules.

What can you ask? Example conversations

The conversations below are animated with demo data. Your answers come from your own trips, rates and team.

Finding gaps on tomorrow's board

Your AI assistantLimoGrid AI
What's on the board tomorrow?
calling limogrid · list_reservations

Six trips tomorrow. One still needs a driver.

06:15Logan Airport → Back BayM. Rossi
08:30Back Bay → SeaportJ. Carter
11:00Cambridge → Logan AirportD. Silva
14:45Logan Airport → NewtonUnassigned
16:00Seaport → Logan AirportA. Nguyen
19:30Back Bay → TD GardenM. Rossi
Ask anything

The quiet evening check before you close the office becomes one question instead of scrolling a calendar. Ask a follow-up, such as putting a driver on the 2:45, and it keeps going.

Checking on a driver

Your AI assistantLimoGrid AI
Where's the driver on the 4 PM airport pickup?
calling limogrid · reservation_eta

Marco is 3.2 miles out on I-90, about 9 minutes from the pickup.

Logan Airport · Terminal BETA 12 min
Ask anything

When a client calls to ask where the car is, the answer is one question away: the driver's location and ETA to the pickup. If you want to message the driver, ask that too.

Seeing who owes you

Your AI assistantLimoGrid AI
Who still owes me money?
calling limogrid · invoice_aging

$18,420 open across 7 accounts. $3,150 is past 60 days.

Current$0
1–30 days$0
31–60 days$0
61–90 days$0
90+ days$0
Ask anything

Accounts receivable aging without opening a report. Ask which accounts are behind, and the assistant lists them with the invoices that are open.

Changing a rate

Your AI assistantLimoGrid AI
Raise the airport rate for SUVs by $10.
calling limogrid · bulk_update_zone_rates

Three SUV airport routes would change. Nothing is saved yet.

Preview · not sent yet

Logan → Back Bay$95 → $105
Logan → Cambridge$105 → $115
Logan → Seaport$90 → $100
ConfirmCancel
Ask anything

The assistant does not change the rate when you ask. It shows you exactly what will change, and applies it only after you confirm that specific preview.

Handing a job to the Grid

Your AI assistantLimoGrid AI
I can't cover Saturday's 7 AM Logan run. Post it to the Grid.
calling limogrid · post_to_grid

Here's what will be posted. Nothing is sent until you confirm.

Preview · not sent yet

Trip#10482 · Sat 7:00 AM · Back Bay → Logan
VehicleSUV
You pay$185.00
ConfirmCancel
Ask anything

A trip you cannot cover is work another operator wants. The assistant posts it to the Grid at the rate you set, once you confirm what will be posted.

Redesigning a notification

You: Draft a nicer confirmation email and show me it with tomorrow's 7am trip. Assistant: Here is a redesigned confirmation template using your existing template keywords, previewed with the details of tomorrow's 7am trip. Want me to save it?

Notification templates are one of those jobs everyone means to get to. The assistant can see your templates, redesign the HTML using the same template keywords, preview it with real trip data, and send, all with the same preview-then-confirm step.

And what it can't do

Your AI assistantLimoGrid AI
Can you cook me dinner tonight?
searching 160+ LimoGrid commands

Not there yet. I can book you a car to dinner, though.

Ask anything

Need it to cook you dinner? Well, we're not there yet. LimoGrid AI works on your LimoGrid company and nothing else.

What can LimoGrid AI reach?

More than 160 commands, covering most of what an office does in a day.

AreaWhat the assistant can do
ReservationsFind, create, edit fields and rates, assign or unassign a driver, archive
Fleet and peopleVehicles, drivers and other resources
PricingRates, zones, distance and time pricing
AccountsAccounts and corporate accounts
Affiliates and the GridFind affiliates, post a job to the Grid
DispatchPush message a driver, see driver location and ETA
MoneyReports, invoices and payments, payroll
NotificationsSee, redesign, preview and send templates

Access is split into scopes: read, reservations write, rates, accounts, affiliates and the Grid, dispatch, reports, payments, payroll and notifications. You decide which ones a connection gets.

How does it stay safe?

An AI that can change rates and move money needs rules. These are ours.

Scoped to one company

LimoGrid AI is scoped to a single company. The rest of LimoGrid already ties every request to a user session and checks it against the company that owns the data; the MCP connection is scoped the same way, to your company and nothing else.

The same permissions as the employee

The assistant can do only what the connected employee can do in the Backoffice. If your dispatcher cannot see payroll, neither can the dispatcher's AI. Scopes narrow it further.

Preview first, then an explicit confirmation

Anything that writes shows a preview and needs an explicit confirmation. The confirmation is single-use and bound to exactly what was previewed. If the assistant tries to apply something different from what you approved, the confirmation does not cover it.

Every call is audited

Every call through LimoGrid AI is audited. An assistant acting for your company leaves a trail, the same way an employee would.

OAuth, not shared passwords

You connect with OAuth: a consent screen in Backoffice → Settings → AI Assistant shows what you are granting. A company key is also available. Nobody pastes a password into a chat window.

For the wider questions to put to any vendor about data and access, see seven security questions to ask your limo software vendor.

Why does the AI quote the same price as the booking form?

Because there is one pricing service. Quotes, reservation edits and the AI all compute price the same way. When the assistant says a trip costs a certain amount, it is the number your booking widget and your dispatcher would get. There is no separate AI math to drift out of line.

For more on the engineering underneath, queues, workers and event-driven dispatch, see how we rebuilt LimoGrid on AWS.

How does this compare with other limo software?

Other platforms are adding AI, and some of it is good. As of September 2026, Limo Anywhere has an LQC AI Sales Agent (ChatBot) in early access for website questions, pricing and leads, and Moovs has Miles, an assistant that answers, quotes and books on the website and helps internally with the inbox and questions.

What we found no competitor documenting, as of September 2026, is an MCP server like LimoGrid AI: a way to connect the AI tools operators already use to their own dispatch data, with per-employee permissions and confirmation on every change.

This sits alongside the other AI in LimoGrid: AI reservations from email and PDF for the office, and the AI chat for your website for passengers.

Frequently asked questions

What is LimoGrid AI?

It is a connector, technically an MCP server, that lets ChatGPT, Claude or Grok work with your LimoGrid company through more than 160 tools, such as finding reservations, editing rates and messaging drivers, under your permissions.

Which plans include LimoGrid AI?

All of them, including the free LG Connect. The assistant can do only what your plan and your own user can do in LimoGrid. See pricing for what each plan covers.

Can the AI change something without asking me?

No. Anything that writes shows a preview first and needs an explicit, single-use confirmation tied to exactly what was previewed.

Can the AI do more than my employee can?

No. It can do only what the connected employee can do in the Backoffice, and the scopes on the connection can narrow that further.

Can the AI see other companies' data?

No. LimoGrid AI is scoped to one company, and the assistant works only with that company's data.

Which AI apps work with it?

ChatGPT and Claude connect through an OAuth consent screen in Backoffice → Settings → AI Assistant, or with a company key. Grok and other assistants that accept a custom MCP connector can connect to the same server.

If you want to see your own board answer questions in plain English, book a demo. We will connect an assistant to a demo company and you can ask it whatever you would ask your dispatcher. For plans, see pricing, and for the platform behind it, dispatch and billing.
